I help organizations make smarter financial decisions through accounting, financial modeling, business intelligence, and data analytics. I explore data to uncover what the numbers are really saying, identify trends and opportunities, and tell financial stories that turn complex information into clear, actionable insights.

I’m a certified accountant — CPA (T) and ACCA Affiliate — currently completing an MSc in Finance and Investment at the Institute of Accountancy Arusha, expected December 2026. I hold a Bachelor of Accounting from the Institute of Finance Management, Dar es Salaam.

Since 2023 I have worked as a Tax & Compliance Officer in Dar es Salaam, analysing taxpayer financial statements and large volumes of transactional data to assess compliance, identify discrepancies and risk indicators, and prepare the analytical reports that inform assessments. Before that, I held accountant roles at Duke Tanzania Limited and LCH Builders: reconciliations, statutory filings, budget-versus-actual analysis, and year-end audit preparation.

Tanzania Economic Intelligence Dashboard

Problem: Tanzania’s key economic indicators live scattered across separate Bank of Tanzania, NBS, and TRA publications, making trend analysis slow and manual.
Approach: Consolidated six public indicators (GDP growth, inflation, tax collections, private sector credit, treasury bill yields, and FDI stock by source country and activity) into a three-page Power BI dashboard built on a star schema with a central date table.
Outcome: A dashboard spanning 2014–2026 that surfaces the story behind the numbers: inflation cooling from a 4.9% peak in January 2023, T-bill yields tracking that same tightening cycle, tax collections nearly doubling since FY2017/18, and FDI stock concentrated in mining despite China’s growing share of inflows.

Tanzania Government Domestic Debt Dashboard

Problem: Tanzania’s domestic debt figures are published quarterly across separate Bank of Tanzania bulletins, with each edition revising the last, making it hard to see how the debt stock and its ownership have actually changed over time.
Approach: Extracted and reconciled two tables (debt by holder category and debt by instrument) across multiple overlapping bulletin editions, resolving revisions and transcription conflicts, then modelled them in Power BI against a shared date table.
Outcome: A two-page dashboard covering Dec 2022 to Jun 2026, showing domestic debt growing 53.8% to TZS 39.3 trillion while the holder mix stayed broadly stable, surfacing a marked swap between the Bank of Tanzania and pension funds through 2025, and a steady shift toward longer-dated bonds.

Financial Forecasting Model (in development)

Problem: Budget owners needed forward revenue and expense estimates grounded in history, not gut feel.
Approach: Combining Python time-series analysis with an Excel model finance teams can drive themselves.
